Martin has been a Chartered Physiotherapist for 13 years. To allow him to provide the best physio care to patients Martin has done LOTS of studying. He has a degree in Sports and Exercise Science and a Masters in Rehabilitation Science and Post Graduate Diploma in Manual Therapy.
Martin has put his university qualifications to good use in the world of elite sport. Martin has worked at numerous world class sporting events. These include 2012 Olympic Games, 2014 Commonwealth Games, 2015 European Games, 2016 World Games, 2017 and 2018 World Athletics Championships.
Martin doesn’t just treat athletes. Over 13 years as a physio Martin has developed his skills and provides treatments for all ages and abilities. He has an interest in treating conditions liked to the neck and spine. He also has a big interest in treating arthritic conditions such as knees, hips and shoulders.
Paul has been a Chartered Physiotherapist five years and has a degrees in both Sports Science and a Physiotherapy.
Paul is an excellent manual therapist and treats patients of all ages and abilities. However, he is a keen martial artist and regularly competes in MMA and Thai Boxing bouts with an impressive record. Combining his clinical skills and his personal experience in the ring/cage Paul is the go to guy for professional cage fighters. He keeps them fighting fit in their training camps and ensures they are on top form for the big day.
Paul has also worked at Middlesbrough Football Club and Hartlepool United Football Club and has been responsible for looking after a number of the academy teams. Pauls sports physiotherapy experience also includes working at the 2018 World Athletic Championships.
Caroline worked as a schoolteacher for 20 years before deciding on a career in Chinese Medicine. She came to Chinese Medicine after experiencing, first hand, its benefits and set up her Chinese Medicine Practices after graduating with a First Class Degree (BSc Acupuncture (Hons)) in Acupuncture, receiving the Penny Babcock Award for Clinical Excellence, from the Northern College of Acupuncture in 2017.
In addition to her Acupuncture qualifications Caroline also has a 2:1 BA(Hons)(Ed) awarded by Durham University.
Caroline is a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
Charlotte joined Active PhysioCare in 2011 and is responsible for the general day to day running of the clinic. Charlotte arranges all the patient appointments in the clinic and ensures when your appointment is booked a confirmation text message is sent to you so you can be sure your treatment slot is reserved for you.
Charlotte is a favourite with all our patients and she has an amazing ability to remember every single patient that comes into the clinic.
Charlotte is a crucial part of the team. As well as ensuring the smooth running of the clinic Charlotte keeps the physios on their toes.
