It’s been great spending the last week working in the south of France with the British Sailing Team. One of the athletes I have been working with is Anna Burnet. She is Olympic silver medalist and world champion in Nacra 17 sailing. Back to Hartlepool for next week.
Martin will be heading to the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games to treat the top athletes attending.

He will be speaking on some of the issues that are being hotly debated as well as the progression of the physio profession as a whole:
“As physiotherapy looks to move towards, and rightly so, an evidence-based practice (EBP) approach, it is that very same EBP research that is dividing the physiotherapy profession. Two camps are emerging between “hands on” and “hands off” physiotherapists. Both cite evidence to support . their stance on the issue and both highlight evidence to refute the opposing view. Is this “Us versus Them” fractioning of physiotherapists in danger of not helping the person central to the treatment process, the patient?” 👨🏻⚕️
Over lockdown Martin has developed an online physio resources for physiotherapy and sports therapy students to allow them flexible access to learning during the difficulties of COVID-19.
